Linton Endorsed by
National Association of Letter Carriers
David Linton, the Green Party candidate for Onondaga County Legislature, 17th District, has been endorsed by the National Association of Letter Carriers AFL-CIO, Branch #134.
“A vote for David Linton would be a vote for beginning a new tomorrow in the County Legislature,” stated Union President James Lostumbo. He said that Linton is “people oriented” and that he “would always be there for his constituents.”
Lostumbo went on to describe Linton and why he is well suited to be a legislator. “Coming from a blue collar background we know that Dave would always lean toward what would benefit working and elderly people in the 17th district. … Clear thinking, hard working, down to earth people are needed to represent hard working people.”
David Linton, born and raised on Syracuse’s West Side has dedicated his life to serving the West Side community. He was a Syracuse Fireman and a US Postal Worker in Syracuse. Now retired, he is an active member of St. Lucy’s Parrish through which he organizes youth athletic programs. He has been praised for bringing youth baseball back to Skiddy Park and helping to restore vibrancy to that oft neglected area of the city. Even when there was a shooting in Skiddy Park, Linton did not shake his resolve that the baseball league would continue and that the area would be transformed. In the winter months, Linton runs a youth basketball league with St. Lucy’s. By providing youth resources and recreation, Linton is fighting the scourge of drugs and crime and providing hope for the next generation.
Vote for David Linton, Green Party candidate for the Onondaga County Legislature, 17th District.
