A Direct Appeal from Kevin Bott - Let's Finish Strong!
This is Kevin Bott, Green Party Mayoral candidate. A lot has been happening in the past few months and I wanted to let everyone know where things stand, and what we need in order to make a difference with a Green Party WIN!
Election Day is less than three weeks away. And as you probably know the campaign has been working hard to get Mayor Miner to debate -- to no avail. In the meantime I’ve been working hard going to candidate forums, taking any opportunity to talk to the press, writing op-ed’s and doing all I can to get out the Green Party message.
Miner still has over $340,000 to spend on her campaign and she most likely will be using it for TV ads and to get out the vote closer to Election Day. So at this point we need all the help we can get -- making phone calls, knocking on doors, distributing literature. There are so many things you could help with. Even if you can't come into the office or go out door knocking, our Volunteer Coordinator can set you up for phone banking from home. Fill out our volunteer form or contact Frank Cetera at [email protected] or (315) 308-1372. Read on to find out how else you can help over the next two weeks!

Kevin, Howie and Barbara on the Campbell Conversations
"One could argue that the most energetic opposition to the Democratic candidates for Syracuse City offices this November is coming from a third party, the Greens. In this edition of the Campbell Conversations, Grant Reeher speaks to Kevin Bott, Howie Hawkins, and Barbara Humphrey, the Green Party candidates, respectively, for mayor, city council, and board of education. The conversation explores their collective vision for a new set of city policies, and a new way of governance."

Make Your Plan to Volunteer for the Final 4 Weeks of Campaign Season and E-Day!
With less than 4 weeks till election day on Tuesday November 5th we need all hands on deck! Phonebanking and door canvassing are taking place almost every day, can you commit to a couple slots each week? Howie Hawkins received 48% of the vote in 2011, and with everyone's courage, dedication, and effort, we can overcome that gap! We can get Barb Humphrey a spot on the School Board and provide a real voice for student-centered education. We can shake up the Mayor's office with Kevin Bott and a campaign for leadership not management.

GMO labelling and Monsanto
I'm writing you today under the assumption that you support a healthy environment, healthy humans and access to healthy wholesome food - and that you DON'T appreciate large corporations controlling our food supply and corrupting our democracy.
The Green Party of New York is a member of the GMO Free NY coalition, working to empower New Yorkers to get Assembly Bill A3525 and Senate Bill S3835 which mandate the labeling of GMO foods sold for retail in NYS - passed by 2014. Please take a minute to visit the GMO Free NY website to learn more about this exciting this campaign!
Here are three actions you can take this weekend in celebration of World Food Day:
1) March Against Monsanto!
2) Participate in street outreach in support of GMO labeling.
3) Sign and share the GMO Labeling petition.
