Get Involved and Volunteer  This is Frank Cetera, Volunteer Coordinator for the Syracuse Greens' 2013 Campaigns, with a hearty hello and request for your time, energy, and passion for Green Values and our slate of candidates (Howie Hawkins for 4th District Councilor, Barbara Humphrey for School Board, and Kevin Bott for Mayor).  We are a Party of activists, families, small businesses, and community-minded organizations, and as such rely on volunteer support to make our success happen.  That means we need you, in some capacity, to step forth and stomp the pavement, knock on doors, make telephone calls, be an election day volunteer, help with special projects related to audio-visual media, and most exciting of all assist with data entry and management!

There are also two specific campaign volunteer roles that we are filling.  The Scheduler should be detail oriented and well organized, maintain a calendar of events, and know important details regarding the events scheduled. The Database Manager keeps the database maintained and supports the campaigns' data needs by preparing lists for phone-banking and door knocking, and doing data entry.  Read full descriptions at http://syracusegreens.nationbuilder.com/join_the_syracuse_greens_2013_campaign_team

You can take the next step to volunteering in several ways.  Visit our Syracuse Greens Volunteer page and sign up; telephone Frank at 315-308-1372 or email at [email protected].

Miranda Hine Meet & Greet House Party for Howie Hawkins - Thursday July 25, 6:00 pm  Come and meet Howie Hawkins and let him know what issues affecting our city are on your mind - at the lovely hill top home of Miranda Hine.  Miranda says, "I support Howie Hawkins for my Common Councilor because he is smart, hard working, and trustworthy. I know Howie will advocates for ALL the hard working people in our city. Howie has tenacity!"  Hear about Howie's campaign to represent the 4th district on the Syracuse Common Council. Find out how you can help elect the first Green to our local government. Please bring your questions and your checkbook to support this grassroots campaign. Light refreshments served. Restore The Fourth Mega-Rally - Saturday July 27, 1:00 pm  Syracuse Greens are co-sponsoring this peaceful pro-fourth amendment/anti-surveillance rally.  Concerned citizens will meet at the Federal Building in downtown Syracuse to voice their opposition to the infringement of the rights guaranteed to us by the fourth amendment. These breaches include:

* Drones and Militarization of Police
* Indefinite detention under the NDAA
* Prosecution of Whistleblowers
* Warrantless NSA surveillance programs directed at American citizens

Become a Green Sustainer
We are grassroots and people-powered but our growing party does need financial resources to be effective. Please donate what you can and Become A Green Sustainer Today. We're the only ones we can count on to help fund our independent, non-corporate, party.

Now, for the future,

Frank Cetera, Volunteer Coordinator
For the Green Party of Onondaga County

As a political party we work to establish political action based on cooperation, rather than exploitation, on conservation rather than consumption, and on sustainability rather than short-term gain. We believe in an alternative, independent politics.
